Joshua Redman

Joshua Redman was easily the most difficult performer to miss over the course
of the weekend. Featured as one of this year's 'Artist in Residence', he seemed to be
everywhere. When he wasn't playing with his own band (which included Peter Martin,
piano; Peter Bernstein, guitar; Christopher Thomas, bass; and Brian Blade, drums),
he was hosting a clinic. And when he wasn't doing either of those, he was making a
guest appearance with Herbie Hancock. The best news is, he was having as much fun
as his fans.
